EASING CONSUMER CONFUSION: DON’T MIX CUCUMBERS AND TITLE
The land title industry is shifting from a business to business model to a business to consumer model. The American Land Title Association has developed a program to educate real estate practitioners regarding the benefits of title insurance. Best Practices in the land title industry are also evolving and the Maturity Model helps agents document their progress toward certification.
DOES EVERYONE DESERVE A SEAT AT THE TABLE?
The program will provide a comprehensive review of Maryland’s law relating to organizational and individual standing in real estate development including the purpose of standing requirements, changes to Maryland’s standing law, current status, and possible future legislative efforts. The program will provide perspectives from local and state government, private property owner/developer and environmental/citizen organizations.
