As most of us well know, in many cases real property lawyers never see the actual real estate that we are helping our clients buy or build upon. In most instances, we rely upon surveyors to do the ground work (literally!) and instead review their resulting surveys.
Have you ever wondered what is involved in the actual surveying process? If you are interested in learning more, please join us on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 8:30am – 12:00pm for a unique and interactive program led by David S. Thaler, arguably one of the best known engineers in Maryland. After learning in the classroom the basics of surveying a property under ALTA standards, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a fun and challenging field exercise.
David S. Thaler, PE, LS, F. NSPE, F. ASCE, of D.S. Thaler and Assoc., LLC, is the only surveyor in Maryland to be a Fellow of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. A guest scholar at the University of Baltimore School of Law, Mr. Thaler is also a prolific author, having published more than 250 articles and five books.
We recommend that you sign up early for this terrific event, as registration is limited to 40 people: http://www.msba.org/Events/Section_Events/Real_Property_Surveying_Program.aspx.
