The Administrative Office of the Courts is requesting proposals for an eRecording system to allow customers to electronically record land record documents across the State of Maryland. The winning contract will be implemented as a pilot in Baltimore County, evaluated and enhanced as needed, and then implemented in each county statewide.
The RFP explains that the eRecording system will mimic the existing paper workflow. Deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages and releases will be the first documents to be accepted (approximately 700,000 per year); others will be added over time based on complexity and volume.
