Construction Law for the Transactional Lawyer:

The cranes are back in the air.  When all of the various parties to a construction project stop getting along and start pointing fingers, will your contract documents hold up?  Learn about the pitfalls of construction law and how they relate to everyday client matters dealt with by practicing transactional attorneys. The program will include discussions of change orders, indemnity issues, defaults, dispute resolution, damages and other remedies, mechanic’s liens and more.  The program will also include a segment dedicated to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) construction developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, and how it presents new challenges to transactional professionals.
