The Maryland Chapter of the American Planning Association is sponsoring a tour of the Port of Baltimore on Friday, May 16 from 12 – 4 p.m. (lunch included). For more information, please visit here.
The highlights are a Port of Baltimore tour with an overview from Maryland Port Administration on operations and management of one of the busiest and complex hubs in the Mid-Atlantic region. Port of Baltimore not only provides a vital link in the global supply chain of imports and exports, it is also very well-positioned for significant growth in the freight world with some exciting new changes, such as being fully ready and operational for Super-Post-Panamax. What does this mean for Baltimore, its residents and the Maryland economy? Our freight expert panelists, Valorie Lacour, Jill Lemke, and Jackie Seneschal will share their thoughts on “Livability with Freight” and provide a platform for discussion and debate on challenges in land use and freight movement.
RSVP before 12:00 p.m. on May 2 by e-mail to Rafey Subhani at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include driver’s license numbers, state of license, and affiliation for security clearances. The cost of the tour is $20.
